The project’s objective is to animate expressive type. I chose to redesign and animate the soundtrack album for the film ‘Birds of Prey’ which exhibits a wide range of musical genres, including hip-hop, alternative rock, and rap. My design choices and colors were inspired by the vibes of the movie and the personality of the main character, who is kinetic, hyper-violent, and wild. The type elements of the front and back cover were animated to the chorus of ‘sway with me.’ Moreover, distortion, glitch, liquid, RGB shift, and flicker effects were used altogether to create a chaotic and psychedelic feel to the title while reacting to the strong beats of the song and swaying with it.
